This is an interactive story and ideally suited for an e-book. The reader is the main character and he has to make choices every few pages. Depending on his choices, he has to turn to different pages in the book. It is thus a book of many stories, all with different endings – some more pleasant than others, depending on the reader’s choices.
The setting is old Egypt and you get to meet a very arrogant cat called Tutancat! Depending on your choices you may end up helping to build the pyramids, attending the Egyptian school … or rescuing Egypt from the evil A-ti-Shoe (who is allergic to cats).
Extract from You and Tutancat
“We have to go and warn the Pharaoh!” you say.
“Not a good idea,” Tutancat says.
“Why not?” you want to know.
“Because I say so,” he answers.
You have really had enough of this arrogant, know-all cat who pretends to know everything. “I am going to warn the Pharaoh,” you say firmly.
“Not a good idea,” Tutancat says and wiggles his whiskers.
Do you really want to go and warn the Pharaoh?
If you decide to warn the Pharaoh, turn to page 12.
If you decide to listen to Tutancat, turn to page 24.
